Instructions for setting eyelets

1. To make a hole for the eyelet, place papers on a cutting mat that is on a firm surface.

2. Hold the hole punch where you want the hole and with a hammer tap the top of the punch 3 - 4 times. Make the hole just large enough for the eyelet flange to fit the hole.  If the punch is hit too hard, the hole will be too big and the eyelet will fall through .Or use a japanese screw punch.

3. Pick up your papers to make sure the punch went all the way through.

4. Place an eyelet in each hole, hold them in place and turn your papers over.

5. Set the eyelets by placing the tip of the setter in the middle of the eyelet. Make sure this is on the back of Your Project

6. Tap the setter with the hammer lightly until the raised flange of the eyelet is begins to flair out.  Tap the setter with the hammer 3 - 4 times until the raised flange of the eyelet is flat.

7. Tap the set eyelet with the hammer.
